In these days of "grade level complex text" it will become increasingly important for us as teachers to key into lexile level. This site makes it easy for teachers in NYState to find grade level appropriate articles for virtually anything they teach.
I am taking the pledge to see this movie (which is saying a lot since I NEVER go to the movies). I think educational reform is imminent. I say, let's be on the cutting edge of it.
Being that I'm trying out this experiment with Matthew, I sense that I might become a strong proponent when working with teachers. This spot was recommended via another group I belong to. Might be worth checking out. Blogging without a lot of the security concerns.
Definitely check this out. Lots of blogs about pictures books people wouldn't teach without. This one will refer you to other blogs to see other people's choices and why. It's got me thinking: What picture books would I not teach without?
Good tips on things to keep handy during guided reading. Especially like the browsing boxes of books recently read for kids to access when they finish the day's reading.
