"Active Learning - Active Learning is anything that students do in a classroom other than merely passively listening to an instructor's lecture. Research shows that active learning improves students' understanding and retention of information and can be very effective in developing higher order cognitive skills such as problem solving and critical thinking. Clicker Use in Class - Clickers enable instructors to rapidly collect and summarize student responses to multiple-choice questions they ask of students in class. Collaborative/Cooperative Learning - Cooperative and collaborative learning are instructional approaches in which students work together in small groups to accomplish a common learning goal.They need to be carefully planned and executed, but they don't require permanently formed groups. Critical Thinking - Critical thinking is a collection of mental activities that include the ability to intuit, clarify, reflect, connect, infer, and judge. It brings these activities together and enables the student to question what knowledge exists. "

Discovery Education is a free website for teachers to share information and resources amongst each other. It covers grades K-12 and it covers Science, English, Social Studies, and Math.

This is another great website for teachers. There are games, teaching resources, and even lesson plans!

This site will be helpful in the future because it gives many examples of how teachers can use technology in the classroom.

This website offers many different outlets besides youtube from which to incorporate videos into your teaching. I highlighted the other links in order to easily find them in the future. 

This site has a lot of useful information on how to engage students in reading through the use of electronic devices. It also has pre- set up games and activities to practice using technology in English classrooms.

Clickers to me is a great way to engage the students in learning. They will not just be sitting listening to a teacher talk if they are engaged in the lesson as well. It also seems to be a great way to study for tests and quizzes. I could not figure out how to undo the highlighting in the next paragraph... I was just playing around with it so ignore the random highlights(:

Lots of videos showing ways to use technology in the classroom for many classes like the Arts, English, Math, Science and Social Studies as well as special education. They even separate it by grade level and topics for you to browse through.

This website gives good ideas on how to integrate Youtube videos into your classroom as well as how to get your students interacting via Youtube. This opens up new ways of teaching and quizzing your students. It also gives alternatives to Youtube if there happens to be a problem with using it at your school.

I think that this website would be a useful technology resource for teaching because it talks about how to create different websites and use different technology tools.

It helps with all of the basic social media outlits you could want to bring information to and to use. It also shows different products you can buy and use that might be helpful in your classroom. Also it gives you a lot of resources that are going to help you understand the technology and advancement of these sources with yourself and your students.

Useful for in class teaching of science. Videos could be instructional tools on this website. This is a dependable website.

This site has a few ideas on how to help teachers make their lessons more interesting, using websites and programs that are simple to use and understand.

This site would be useful for teachers when using technology in the classroom because not only does it give tips on how to do this, but it also encourages taking teaching to the next level by using technology.
