This is a great web page by PBS Kids which offers elementary school students tips on how to stay safe online. It teaches them how to behave responsibly while using internet and upon finishing their missions in the Academy, students will graduate. There are also resources for teachers on how to include the topic of online safety in their classrooms.

This is an awesome website that allows students and teachers to create short art inspired stories to read, share or print out.

This is another great website for students and teachers to create digital stories. It has a set of tools to fire out ideas, mix them, and make quick decisions.

Edcanvas is a free service that makes it easy for teachers to organize and share educational materials in a visually pleasing format. The "canvas" part of Edcanvas is where you arrange videos, links, images, and files around any topic of your choosing. Edcanvas has built-in search tools so that you do not have to leave your Edcanvas account in order to locate resources. "Welcome to the first ever intercultural podcast. 'absolutely intercultural!' is its name and, as far as we know, this is the first podcast in the world to deal with intercultural issues. We'll be releasing a new episode every second Friday evening, looking at all intercultural aspects of human intercultural communication. For example, we'll be hearing from students on foreign work placements, asking how teachers can make use of intercultural exercises and simulations in their classroom and sharing with you any intercultural gossip we come across. The lessons are free. Each lesson has 26 pages of printable activities / handouts. There is a new lesson every two days. The lessons alternate between pre-intermediate and intermediate (plus). All lessons are based on stories currently in the news - as the world's news breaks, teach it. All lessons are also downloadable PDF format. There are 30+ online quizzes for each lesson. Listening files can be downloaded in mp3 format or subscribed to via a podcast. Classroom handouts are readily reproducible. There are graded listenings with each lesson. Adaptive learning has been a hot topic in recent months, and with Knewton it's something that any teacher can access and use. The site personalizes online learning content for each student according to his or her needs.

From Longman publishers a site with general teaching tips for teachers - using video, dealing with noisy teens. There are also some articles for reference and information on teaching methodology.

This site contains 23 different search engines which are designed for use by children and suitable for use in the classroom for research projects. Sites include the BBC, NASA, Encarta and Ask Jeeves Kids. The website was set up to support the international school communities (teachers, support staff, administrators, students and families) in 17 countries in South East Asia but schools worldwide would find the site a useful resource.

This free online editor for typing transcriptions of English words in the International Phonetic Alphabet has been around since 2004. Many ESL/EFL teachers find it useful for transcribing English words for printed handouts and pronunciation exercises, especially if one uses the keyboard shortcuts.

This is a site all about Playground Games. Teachers could use the site for students to learn some classic playground games some of which can be used in the classroom and to show students some games that British primary school kids have written about. One of the main features of the site is the Build A Game section where your students can write about a game they play in the playground and submit it to be published on the site.
