If you thought learning was confined to the classroom, think again. We love what we do in English Language Teaching (ELT) at Pearson, because we get to work in lots of different types of classrooms around the world, from Asia to Latin America, from everyday state schools to Private Language Schools (PLS). Everyday we look at ways of combining content, assessment, technology and services to help all teachers and students across the world teach, learn and practise their English skills. Take a look at our Catalogue, Classroom Resources, ELTCommunity and Professional Development area - all designed to support teachers and help them enjoy their work. We believe in all kinds of learning, delivered at any time, in any place through materials of the highest quality, enabling you to achieve your English learning and teaching goals.

Behavior Management Software - ClassDojo - 0 views

  •
ClassDoJo is a free online service for recording and generating data about your students' behaviors. To get started using ClassDoJo you create class lists and select the behaviors that you want to track. Then assign each behavior as a negative or positive behavior. Once you have created your class lists and selected behaviors to track, actually tracking behaviors is quite easy. To track your students' behaviors just sign-in, select your class, and start marking student names with positive or negative points. When you mark with positives or negatives you can state the reason by selecting from the menu of behaviors that you created while creating your ClassDoJo lists. You can use your computer or your mobile device to make entries in your ClassDoJo account. Students can view their records by signing into their records through secret Clas DoJo codes assigned to them. Parents can have reports about their children sent to them by you.

'absolutely intercultural!' - 0 views

  •
"Welcome to the first ever intercultural podcast. 'absolutely intercultural!' is its name and, as far as we know, this is the first podcast in the world to deal with intercultural issues. We'll be releasing a new episode every second Friday evening, looking at all intercultural aspects of human intercultural communication. For example, we'll be hearing from students on foreign work placements, asking how teachers can make use of intercultural exercises and simulations in their classroom and sharing with you any intercultural gossip we come across. 'absolutely intercultural!' won't be so much about passing on information but more about starting an intercultural dialogue between the makers, and you, the contributors and listeners."
