Those relationships allow teachers to motivate students while they (teachers) model and promote positive character attributes. While it is easy to say, "Build relationships," it is not always easy to do. One of the greatest challenges to teachers is carving out time for connections without sacrificing instructional minutes. To address the time issue, strategies for building relationships must be embeded in the instruction.
