Microsoft, The multinational corporation that develops, licenses and suports computer materials and software, has a great section for teachers and students. Microsft has created Teacher Guides where it provides free teaching tips and step by step guides for popular teacher tasks. These guides are supposed to help teachers and educators learn and explore better ways to inspire students and integrate technology in class.
Cheat sheet created by the Loudoun County Public Schools' Assistive Technology Team on using the Boardmaker Plus v. 6 Symbolate tool. Type in the text, or copy and paste it from a document or the Internet, and the graphics will appear with the text. It also has a text to speech feature that reads the text aloud. Provides wonderful supports for struggling readers and English language learners!
The LCPS Assistive Technology team has created adapted play guides for some of our switch-operated toys that we provide to our students. These toys are often used to teach students about cause and effect, but as this sample activity guide shows, there are many other uses for concept development and social interaction.
