On July 25, 2016, Unified Patents Inc. filed a petition for inter partes review of all claims 1-15 of U.S. Patent 6,415,207. In IPR2016-01465, Unified challenged a patent directed to automated tracking, one that Shipping and Transit has asserted against more than 90 small businesses. On June 27, 2016, Unified filed a petition for inter partes review on a patent asserted by Hybrid Audio, LLC. That filing, IPR2016-01265, challenges all independent claims of U.S. Patent RE40,281, claims 5, 12, 18, 26, 34, 41, 48, 57, 66, 71, 76, 83, 90, 95, 100, 107, 114, 116, 118, and 120.

Numerous media outlets -- The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, The Telegraph, and NPR, among others - last night published classified files on more than 700 past and present Guantanamo detainees. The leak was originally provided to WikiLeaks, which then gave them to the Post, NPR and others; the NYT and The Guardian claim to have received them from "another source" (WikiLeaks suggested the "other source" was Daniel Domscheit-Berg, a former WikiLeaks associate who WikiLeaks claims took, without authorization, many WikiLeaks files when he left). The documents reveal vast new information about these detainees and, in particular, the shoddy and unreliable nature of the "evidence" used (both before and now) to justify their due-process-free detentions. On July 22, 2016, Unified filed for inter partes review of all claims 1-16 of U.S. Patent 7,454,002, owned and asserted by Sportbrain Holdings, Inc. The subject matter relates to the devices providing data via the Internet, commonly known as the Internet of things. A copy of the petition is found below.

On July 10, 2016, Unified Patents Inc. filed a petition for inter partes review, IPR2016-01374, against claims 1, 2, 3, 8, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, and 28 of U.S. Patent 6,339,428, directed to a video graphics texture mapping.

On June 29, 2016, Unified Patents Inc. filed a petition for inter parties review challenging the patentability of all claims of a patent owned and asserted by Uniloc Luxembourg S.A. and Uniloc USA, Inc. Wyoming Corporate Services will help clients create a company, and more: set up a bank account for it; add a lawyer as a corporate director to invoke attorney-client privilege; even appoint stand-in directors and officers as high as CEO. Among its offerings is a variety of shell known as a "shelf" company, which comes with years of regulatory filings behind it, lending a greater feeling of solidity. "A corporation is a legal person created by state statute that can be used as a fall guy, a servant, a good friend or a decoy," the company's website boasts. "A person you control... yet cannot be held accountable for its actions. Imagine the possibilities!"
