Electronic translators for language learning - 0 views

  •
Many language students like to use electronic translators. I teach English and over the years I have watched them grow in popularity. Students love them, there is no doubt about that. Teachers are not so united. Some think they are great, and others hate them. For me, it has taken some time to befriend them, and work out how to take advantage of them in the classroom.

Se Habla Technology : June 2007 : THE Journal - 0 views

  • Though the upper and middle schools at Bolles have selfcontained language labs, Bolles, like Lakeside, also integrates classroom technology into language instruction, using Toshiba tablet PCs. “Our teachers direct student attention to the corrections of a student’s work, or color-code parts of speech for our first-year students,” Marks explains. “They will also use the tablets within the language lab for administering assessments or supplementing an oral lesson.”
