"What do rap shows, barbershop banter and Sunday services have in common? As Christopher Emdin says, they all hold the secret magic to enthrall and teach at the same time - and it's a skill we often don't teach to educators. The science advocate (and cofounder of Science Genius B.A.T.T.L.E.S. with the GZA of the Wu-Tang Clan) offers a vision to make the classroom come alive."

"It is important for students to have a voice in decisions about their transportation use, and the decisions that students and their families make about transportation mode must be aligned with students' preferences. Parents and educators may want to talk to students about their preferences, related to both social and sensory factors, to identify transportation options that best align with these personal interests."

"Childhood has always had its fears - from monsters under the bed, to sleep-away camp, to schoolyard bullies. But normal jitters, about these and other childhood challenges, become an issue when they interfere with regular activities, from riding the bus to going to bed at night. And this kind of debilitating anxiety seems to be on the rise: now affecting close to 1 in 5 kids"
"According to our analysis, a college degree is and will remain one of the best available investments. Based on our findings:
A four-year degree would no longer be worth its cost in the year 2086 at the price of $181,000 per year, assuming tuition costs continue to increase at present rates;
The present benefit of a college degree over a high school diploma is equal to approximately $725,000 in lifetime earnings; and
The present benefit of a bachelor's degree over an associate's degree is equal to approximately $340,000 in lifetime earnings."
