فى إطار مشروع "نساء فى العمل" يستضيف المجلس الثقافى البريطانى وفد من القاضيات البريطانيات، فى الفترة من 28 فبراير حتى 5 مارس، فى زيارة لمصر، للاطلاع على واقع القضاء المصرى، والالتقاء بقاضيات مصريات وتبادل الخبرات المهنية بين الجانبين، وذلك فى إطار برنامج للتبادل المهنى، حيث سبق أن قام وفد من القاضيات المصريات فى الصيف الماضى بزيارة هذه المجموعة من القاضيات البريطانيات بهدف الاطلاع على واقع القضاء الإنجليزى ومشاركة المرأة خلاله، والمشروع يرعاه المجلس الثقافى البريطانى وينفذ بالتعاون مع وزارة العدل المصرية.
وإذا كانت بطلة هذه الجريمة، أي الفتاه، مُسكت في وضع غير لائق، فان ثمانين في المائة من الفتيات اللواتي يقتلن بدافع الشرف عذراوات، حسبما يؤكد المركز الوطني الأردني للطب الشرعي.
ولا يوجد في الأردن قانون يعطي الحق للرجل في قتل قريبة له، يعتقد أنها قد ألحقت العار بالأسرة، كما أن جرائم القتل دفاعا عن الشرف نادرا ما تؤدي إلى صدور حكم بالسجن لمدة تزيد عن سنة، ويمكن تخفيف الحكم إلى ستة أشهر.
وبالنسبة للشريعة الإسلامية، فلا يوجد فيها ما يسمى بجريمة الشرف، مما دفع الدكتور عبد المجيد الصلاحين، أستاذ الشريعة في الجامعة الأردنية، للتساؤل كيف تكون جريمة، ونضيف إليها الشرف؟ داعيا إياها بـ" الجريمة بزعم الدفاع عن الشرف."
ويؤكد الدكتور الصلاحين "أن حماية الأخلاق أمر موكول إلى الدولة، ولا يصح للإنسان أن يأخذ القانون بيده، وان الشريعة الإسلامية أحاطت إثبات جريمة الزنى بشروط صارمة، وهي الأربع شهود، وهذا أمر مستحيل."
