    I've downloaded kindle books from JCPL. The only catch is that these books are loaded through your Amazon account. Many public librarians consider this an invasion of privacy and are unhappy about it. Me? I'm just happy to be able to check out library ebooks to my kindle :-).

    Great article about reading, technology and different types of literacies.  Be sure to read the example from Fort Collins about the variety of ways to interact with the book, "Holes." some quotes: "Experts figure that kids today read and write even more than previous generations.
