NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- U.S. stocks sold off sharply Tuesday after Greece's prime minister called for an unexpected public vote to approve Europe's debt deal. Investors fear the referendum will jeopardize the deal, since it includes austerity cuts that have not been popular with the Greek public.

(CNN) -- Two people died and 13 others were injured in four separate shootings in New Orleans early Tuesday, including one on Bourbon Street where costumed revelers were celebrating Halloween. The first shooting, just after midnight outside a Bourbon Street nightclub, sent people running for cover, CNN affiliate WWL reported.

The Community Kitchen of the Centenary United Methodist Church is conducting its third annual "Share the Warmth" project to collect coats and winter clothing for distribution to needy members of the community. The organization is accepting coats and winter clothing in good, clean condition for men, women and children in all sizes. Donations may be dropped off during Community Kitchen meals on Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Winter clothing may also be deposited at all times in the drop-off box in front of the church at 108 N. Union St. in Lambertville.

The Pac-12 Conference announced that six UCLA players and four Arizona players have been suspendedas a result of Thursday night. UCLA offensive lineman Albert Cid will be suspended a half game, receivers Randall Carroll, Shaquelle Evans and Ricky Marvray will sit out a full game and defensive lineman Cassius Marsh will have to serve a two-game suspension. Arizona defensive backs Lyle Brown and Mark Watley will suspended for a half game while Jourdan Grandon, another defensive back will have to sit out a full game. The Department of Energy eventually approved the agreement that brought in more private capital on the condition those investors would largely stand before the federal government in the event Solyndra filed for bankruptcy. "I don't know why, but RIM won't say anything other than that they know what the problem is and they're working on it," Craig Mathias, a principal at the Farpoint Group and a mobile communications expert at Focus.com, told TechNewsWorld. Asked whether the outage has affected BlackBerry Enterprise Server or is limited to BlackBerry Internet Services, Mathias indicated the situation is unclear. "DOT to repave 1.2 miles of Route 202 north of Flemington Circle Route 202 will be resurfaced in both directions from just north of the Route 202-31 traffic circle in Flemington to north of Greenwood Drive in Raritan Township. The DOT's contractor, Arawak Paving Co., has begun preliminary operations to prepare the roadway for resurfacing this week. Route 202 carries two travel lanes in each direction. Resurfacing operations will require single lane closures on Route 202 in both directions during overnight and off-peak hours. One travel lane on Route 202 will be maintained in each direction at all times during construction. All work is weather dependent. The $1.2 million project will mill and repave the travel lanes and shoulders along a 1.2 mile stretch of Route 202, as well as make curbing and guide rail improvements. Completion is scheduled for early 2012."
