This is a great resource that anyone working in educational technology should hang on to. It provides information on legal issues related to Internet, e-mail, video, and other emerging technology. It also provides information on E-rate, software filters, social networking and other off-campus student websites and free speech, Internet acceptable use policies, and privacy.

Another great professional resource for any technology professional working in education to bookmark. This website provides access to scholarly writing, research being conducted in schools regarding educational technology, multimedia, blogs, discussions and chat. This is another one of my favorite sites to check out the latest in our field.

Twitter is the most popular microblogging application, with almost one million users called twitterers, who can send and receive messages via the web, SMS, instant messaging clients, and by third party applications. Posts are limited to 140 text characters in length. With a solid experience in using Web2.0 technologies in education, the authors are trying to provide arguments for using Twitter as microblogging platform / social network in education, underlining its advantages, but also possible bad points. In addition, the website provides webinars to members (free to join). I find this site is extremely helpful and keeps me up to date with current issues IT professionals are facing.

THE Journal bookmark

This is an excellent blog that provides a great deal of interesting and useful information for anyone working in higher education and educational technology.

This is about four years old, but it's still a really interesting read.
