Edudemic is a site that connects education and technology.  It has great articles about people and technology.  For example, "Reasons Why Teachers Should NOT Share Their Phone Numbers with Students" and Ten Ways to use Mobile Devices in the Classroom.

This site is set up like Facebook where teachers can create classroom pages to communicate with students in a variety of ways.

I like the teacher control I can have and the collaborative environment. The security and control that makes it good is also it's limitation in exposure to the outside world.

Padlet offers students and staff a great way to collaborate with one another on a digital "whiteboard" of sorts.

I'm excited to try to incorporate Padlet into my classroom. I think it's a great way to get kids to brainstorm together, or even use as an "exit ticket" for the day. I think both teachers and students can use this as a collaborative tool, to take a survey, to brainstorm, etc. This is a great tool for students and teachers to share ideas with each other. Pinterest would be a similar way for students and teachers to share their ideas with each other, but not exactly the same way. Thanks for sharing, Tamra!

This site allows teachers to share their favorite lessons and other teachers to search for and use great lessons by other teachers.

Instagram allows people to stay in touch through pictures.  Taking pictures of different classroom ideas and posting them is a great way to share your ideas, plus get ideas from others.

Instagram is a way to post pictures and videos with anyone on the web, or only those that follow you.  

amm1388 I like the idea of taking pictures of classroom ideas. I see this as a great science and math tool also.

Flickr offers students and teachers a great way to share photos or for educational purposes such as projects or research.

Schoology offers a great place to let teachers communicate with students and staff through a "Facebook-style" LMS server. Schoology allows you to communicate with students, post tests, and grades to share with students and parents.

A learning platform for schools to use for administration of curriculum, content, assignments, and a platform for collaboration and communication. 

I realize this is one of the initial ones for an example, but my district uses it already and I have a lot of examples to share for my blog post!

A place to store articles and videos from Twitter, your browser, etc. I use it as a storage for things I want to read later and/or use later

Mecka, this seems like a great alternative to RSS feeds. What are your thoughts about that? I like having a place to store all my articles so I don't go crazy!

An interactive way to assess students through ipads, iphones, androids and more!

This looks like a great tool to use in my classroom. It would be a quick way to assess students on a topic before moving on. This tool is clearly geared towards teachers. It can help them to quickly grade quizzes that are easy but tedious to correct such as true/false and multiple choice. I would like to play around with this a bit more and see if there are discussion opportunities with it. My students use Poll Everywhere to have discussions or answer polls, but the results are posted for everyone to see. I like that the tools grades the quizzes and posts the results to a spreadsheet format. That would be such an efficient way to grade. This is much more user friendly than other automatically graded quizzes like Flubaroo. Thanks for sharing!

A few teachers in my building use secretive and have shared it in professional development sessions. It looks very easy to use and seems like something students would be very easily engaged with. Great resource for teachers to use with students. It would be just as easy for students to design questions and present as a quiz or dipstick check for understanding after a presentation or some other in class assignment. My school uses Promethean boards so we have this same capability built into that technology with the Active Votes or Active Expressions. I can also see this being something you could do with the poll feature on Edmodo. I think there are more and more resources out there in this style. I agree with Kayla that this is MUCH easier to use than Flubaroo, even though that is a very useful tool as well.

Aurasma is an augmented reality platform that began as a tool for commercial applications but has quickly been integrated into the educational setting. The possibilities are endless!

Wiki that has videos made by students concerning different math topics.

Wow. This is great! I'm going to try this out this fall! I can use this right away.

I really like the fact these videos were made by students. Maybe if I am ambitious enough, I could have my students make videos to post on here!

Similar to Tweetdeck, Hootsuite is a social media management dashboard. It allows to you to manage more than one account, schedule tweets and messages and analyze social media traffic.

This is like Wordle - and you can form the words into shapes. I like that there is a link to "101 Ways to Use Tagxedo" for ideas for teachers (although I would caution teachers to have an educational goal in mind so using the program doesn't become just a "Wow" factor use)

Tagxedo allows you to create word clouds in shapes. It has customizable fonts and a print feature. A nice alternative to Wordle.
