RAMALLAH, Palestinian Territories, Nov 12, 2014 (AFP) - Israeli settlers torched a mosque near the West Bank town of Ramallah overnight, Palestinian security officials said on Wednesday, as violence intensified in the occupied territory.

Anti-Muslim insults were found on the walls of a mosque in northern Israel on Sunday, a police spokeswoman said.

Israeli police on Monday limited Muslim access to Jerusalem's flashpoint Al-Aqsa mosque compound, fearing new violence after clashes at the weekend, a spokesman said.
