Curriculink is a web tool created by Otsego Northern Catskills BOCES School Library System. If you are not a member of this BOCES you can still access the site. The only area you cannnot access is the section for lesson plans. This tab leads to lesson plans written by librarians in this BOCES, you can also create lesson plans in the templates provided. The focus of the site is develop library awarness skills, and lifelong reading skills.

Teachers and students are largely driving the adoption of Web 2.0 technologies in schools, but human and technological barriers are holding back the use of these as learning tools in many classrooms, according to a new study.

The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program, previously General Image Manipulation Program) is a free software, raster graphics editor used to process digital graphics and photographs. GIMP can also be used to create basic animated images in GIF format. It is often used as a replacement for Adobe Photoshop, the most widely used bitmap editor in the printing and graphics industries; however, it is not designed to be a Photoshop clone.

People today read latest topics and updates via mobile phones. Reading the tweet, Facebook updates and your favorite Digg is possible in phone, but still share the information is still challenging for for phone app makers. Recently i read about Smub.it, it offers simple social sharing and bookmarking tool that proves especially useful for iPhone and other smart phone users.
