The Modern Radio on the iPad… free just like the old days | iGo With My iPad - 0 views

  •
"or the iPad, the 'modern' radio is the Pandora app. This free (account set up required) universal app lets you decide the type of music you want to have streamed to you. After choosing a type of music or a band, Pandora starts streaming a song to you. With the song is quite a bit of text giving you fun facts about the band, song or album."

Gomeric Hill: My Latest Favorite Apps for iPhone - Part 2-Karen Montgomery - 0 views

  •
As I continue to explore new apps on my iPhone, I am striving to post about two types of apps each time: a game or fun app and one that is educational or increases productivity in some fashion. Also, I plan to highlight one free and one purchased app each time.
  •
Always great to find recommendations for iPhone apps from other educators. Liz Kolb mentioned Karen Montgomery in her recent radio show and Karen is sharing her favorites on her blog. Intrigued by Yummy which is a free bookmark manager that allows you to search Delicious and add/edit bookmarks from iPhone. Just wish it worked with Diigo too!

Recording video on the iPhone - Tips from The Kim Komando Radio Show® & Web site - 0 views

  •
Some good advice from Kim Komando re recording video on the iPhone. Sure hope an app is developed soon! I'm not willing to jailbreak my phone yet.
  •
The iPhone does not include a tool for recording video. The problem isn't that the iPhone isn't capable of recording video. It is. However, it does not include an application that will do it. Nor is there one in the App store. a number of developers are working on video recorders. In fact, you can download a video recording app online. Several are available. I strongly recommend that you avoid these apps, though. Why? The fact that they're not in Apple's App Store is a big clue. They're not approved by Apple. In order to install one, you must jailbreak your iPhone. Jailbreaking an iPhone replaces its firmware. It allows you to run unauthorized programs. I certainly don't recommend that you jailbreak your iPhone. Doing so will likely void your warranty.
