Apple released a new version of its mobile operating (iOS 7) on September 18, 2013. Check out the resources below to help with the transition to iOS 7.
Profile Manager makes it easy to configure your user's Mac OS X Lion computers and iOS devices so they're set up to use your company or school resources and so they have the settings your organization requires.
AirServer re-engineered for iOS 6
and iPhone 5
AirServer is an AirPlay receiver for Mac/PC. It allows you to receive AirPlay feeds, similar to an Apple TV, so you can stream content or Mirror your display from your iOS devices or Mountain Lion.
AirServer now delivers full 1080p HD mirroring and is faster and more powerful than ever. The update for AirServer is free for existing users, and gives you more features to make the things you do every day even better.
AirServer for PC hits version 1.0 and is now feature complete, with audio, movie and photo streaming. All good things come to those who wait.
"Apple Configurator is a brand new application aimed at making it faster and easier to deploy, manage, and configure iOS based devices. The great thing about this utility is it does not require an OS X Server or an MDM solution and provides a fast way to get devices ready-to-go. You can download Apple Configurator from the Mac App Store. It is a free application."

Apple made mention of a standalone podcast app earlier this month, but most figured it would arrive with iOS 6 this fall. Not so. Earlier this week, Apple released Podcasts. It's free and universal, designed for both the iPhone and iPad.
Screencasting software for desktop/laptops is fully developed** - users can record screens while opening and closing applications and have access to post production elements (titles, transitions, trimming, etc) all from within the software. iPad apps are not so fully developed yet - with iOS4, users can only record what is going on within the screencasting app.
One of the big buzz words I hear at conferences is that everyone wants to create a "mobile app". There is something special about seeing the tiny little square on your mobile device and knowing that you created it. More importantly, mobile apps and resources increase students interaction with coursework and can help them ultimately learn the material better.
"Interactive and collaborative - Whiteboards are a great way for teachers to explain concepts to their students. With the ability of some iPad apps to record, you ensure that students who did not develop understanding of the concept the first time have the opportunity to watch and listen again and again. Working in small groups or brainstorming as a class, collaborative whiteboards are a great way to share ideas. Work in the same room, on the same network or even from different parts of the country. No matter what you are working on these interactive whiteboards are a great way to document or record your thinking process.

In a world with spell check, why is studying spelling still important? It aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters. Learning high-frequency sight words also has been shown to help with both reading and writing. Not only is the ability to spell necessary in most occupations, but a person also needs to be able to spell well in order to be able to communicate and take notes and directions.
