There is a bug out there for the iPhone that infects through SMS. It can then spread through the contacts list and apparently there is only one way to stop it. This has the potential to be ugly.

How to sync Gmail, Google Contacts and Calendar with an iPhone.

IF you want to sync multiple calendars, this is the second step of doing that - you have to use the native safari web browser and navigate to the mobile apps piece to select the appropriate calendars. Change it as often as you like (I do!)
