Once an app is downloaded, many features can be accessed without an Internet connection. Educators can also use various apps at conferences to connect with other educators or capture a presentation. We've developed a quick guide that will help you avoid apps that are being falsely promoted."

Recording video on the iPhone - Tips from The Kim Komando Radio Show® & Web site - 0 views

  •
Some good advice from Kim Komando re recording video on the iPhone. Sure hope an app is developed soon! I'm not willing to jailbreak my phone yet.
  •
The iPhone does not include a tool for recording video. The problem isn't that the iPhone isn't capable of recording video. It is. However, it does not include an application that will do it. Nor is there one in the App store. a number of developers are working on video recorders. In fact, you can download a video recording app online. Several are available. I strongly recommend that you avoid these apps, though. Why? The fact that they're not in Apple's App Store is a big clue. They're not approved by Apple. In order to install one, you must jailbreak your iPhone. Jailbreaking an iPhone replaces its firmware. My Must-Have iPad Apps, 2011 Edition - 16 views

  •
"Last year, six months after the release of the original iPad, I published an article called "My Must-Have 20 iPad Apps" in which I collected my favorite iPad applications - the ones I used and enjoyed the most - as of September 2010. Fast forward thirteen months, the iPad's software ecosystem has matured into something completely different from last year's "experimentation" stage, when third-party developers, and quite possibly Apple as well, were still trying to figure out how, exactly, the iPad would change our digital lifestyles. Looking back to the iPad 1 and the App Store in 2010, it's no surprise the list of apps I have today is so much different."

Screencasting software for desktop/laptops is fully developed** - users can record screens while opening and closing applications and have access to post production elements (titles, transitions, trimming, etc) all from within the software. iPad apps are not so fully developed yet - with iOS4, users can only record what is going on within the screencasting app.
