Google releases updated photo enhancement app SnapSeed, Free with new filters too | iGo... - 4 views

"We have talked about the photo enhancement Universal app SnapSeed before. The free photo tuning app offers the features of the higher end photo editing apps with a nice finger interface. Import a image, choose what you want to do to the image, move your finger up/down to choose which tool to use, then a left/right swipe to adjust the amount of the effect to apply. A particularly nice feature SnapSeed provides is pinpoint tuning. For example, lighten just a single spot of an image rather than applying a full image filter."

The other site (to view, tap here) contains free Mac OS X tools for automatically generating interactive web-apps for the iPad. And these web-apps can be easily shared with others, by using the free tools to automatically upload them to your MobileMe sites folder. For example, tap one of the images below, and rotate your iPad horizontally, to view an interactive photo carousel/slideshow web-app that was automatically created by simply selecting images on the Mac and applying a Mac OS X service to them! By the way, these example web-apps are meant to viewed fullscreen on the iPad, so after tapping their thumbnail images, tap the plus sign (+) in the Safari toolbar to add them to your homescreen as links. Then tap one of the created bookmark links on your homescreen, and the apps will open in fullscreen mode! Photo Carousel and Slideshow Captioned Carousel and Slideshow Essay with Carousel and Slideshow Or maybe you just want to create a simple scrolling text page, that may contain an image, or an audio clip, or a video clip: So... if you're looking for a free and easy way to create and share content for the iPad, use your Mac to visit PADILICIOUS.COM. Perhaps even better, there's a constraint tool that lets you instantly crop images to a variety of common photo proportions, ranging from a perfect square, 4×3, 8×10, 5×7, 16×9, and others taking the guesswork out of the process. No additional downloads or apps required, it's all featured in the default Photos app."

Incorporating Words Into Images | nashworld - 16 views

Most would agree that "A picture is worth a thousand words." Perhaps strangely, allow me to make the case that sometimes there is also value in distilling those thousand words into a scant few. This little post is a bit of practical sharing meant to point to two things: a cute little iOS application, and a few quick examples of its practical use. Oh, and really, I wouldn't be doing it here if it wasn't worth at least a handful of words as well.
