Future Body - 0 views

Biotechnology Grades 6-8 as described I'd argue to include grade 9 and add extensions. The goals of this lesson are to fully engage students and increase their understanding of the workings of the nervous system. Students will know that the human body uses electric signals to send messages to and from the brain and that these signals permit the body to sense and respond to the world. Students will learn that computer chips or electrodes might someday repair or augment that system in ways that seem today like science fiction. This lesson introduces students to cyborg augmentation. This lesson does not directly address iPad apps but will certainly benefit from apps such as The Human Brain.
