Subject Area: Science (Earth/Physical Science, Meteorology) I teach four sections of Earth/Physical Science to 9th graders and one section of Meteorology to 11th and 12th graders. In looking at available iPad apps not only for these specific science disciplines, but for science in general, they are readily available. Website URL: http://www.avatargeneration.com/2012/11/top-7-apps-for-earth-science-teachers/ Description: This link provides 7 apps for earth science teachers to help make content more interactive and engaging. After examining each of the apps listed, I would consider using most, if not all of the apps provided. Website URL: http://www.bestcollegesonline.com/blog/2011/06/15/40-most-awesome-ipad-apps-for-science-students/ Description: This link provides a comprehensive list of science applications for students, covering a wide range of sub-disciplines in science. 3. On this site you will find a list of different resources for websites that will have lsits of apps. The reason I liked this site is because it is a good place to start depending on what type of app you are looking for and for what age. I particularly like the link to the site "Fun Education Apps" http://www.funeducationalapps.com/best-math-apps-for-kids/ . This was great for 4th grade and has many content area resources.
