This wiki was created for an iPad workshop at ESSDACK in Hutchinson, KS on October 18, 2011 by Judy Beam and Mary Frazier. You'll notice the pages of this wiki (on the left hand side) are the Common Core Standards. We have placed iPad apps on each page that might help your students learn that concept. There will be overlap - one app may meet more than one standard. Please leave comments, suggest apps, or share your experiences in the discussion tab of the appropriate page.

"We have been using the iPads in our Year 6 classroom. The students were very excited at the prospect of using iPads in our day-to-day learning. One of our elementary librarians and I spent time recently exploring apps for her students, and found some excellent apps that would work well for reading/learning stations in the library.  She envisions setting up stations where younger elementary students could record themselves reading,  read an audiobook and follow along, or learn the alphabet, among other things.

iPads for Learning Trial 2010/2011′. We are in our second year of operation and are set to be the largest Government school, P-12, in the state of Victoria with well over 2,000 students. Fun times ahead! Luckily we were selected to be part of the iPads for Learning Trial and are one of 8 schools involved.
