Precious metals prices rose in unison with equities and commodities on Friday, notching a weekly gain, after U.S. nonfarm payrolls data showed modest job growth in January. SILVER prices on MCX declined. At 11:07 hrs MCX SILVER March contract was trading at Rs 58282 down Rs 136, or 0.23%. The market extended its southward journey for the second trading session of the October month with the Sensex falling 296.02 points or 1.11 percent to 26271.97 on Tuesday. The Nifty closed way below the 7900, down 93.15 points or 1.17 percent to 7852.40. About 1120 shares advanced while 1762 shares declined on the BSE. Hindalco Industries, Sesa Sterlite, Cipla, Dr Reddy's Labs, HDFC, DLF, Jindal Steel and Cairn India were top losers, falling 3-6 percent while NTPC, Gail India and Power Grid bucked the trend, up 1-1.5 percent followed by Tata Motors, Wipro and Tata Power with marginal gains. The Stock market trading ended for today but it harms the traders also on the second day, Sensex falls 118.26 points ended at 26599.11 and Nifty was down 39.70 points at 8057.30. The Sensex made high on 26850.37 and low on 26423.99 while Nifty made high on 8122.60 and low on 7997.15 for today's intraday session. TCS, Bajaj Auto, Wipro, Coal India were the top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers were Axis Bank, ONGC, Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank and Hindalco.

Metals, auto, and pharma are major supporters on the Sensex, Hindalco is up 3 percent while Hero, HDFC and Tata steel are Top gainers. HUL is down 2 percent. Bank of Baroda's fourth quarter profit seen falling 22.6 percent year on year to 896 crore due to higher Provisions estimated by experts.

The stock market has ended with negative note after showing volatility in the day trading, Sensex fell 50.45 points at 27440.14 while Nifty ended down 11.25 points at 8320.70. Metal stocks like Vedanta and Tata steel gain high while ONGC, Hindalco and HUL were other gainers in Sensex.

However, ITC and ONGC bucked the trend, rising over a percent and show gains in stock market trading.

The Stock market has opened flat. The BSE Sensex is down 9.19 points at 28058.12 and the NSE Nifty is up 11.40 points at 8529.95. Around 451 shares have propelled, 216 shares declined, and 78 shares are unaltered. Hindalco, SBI, Sun Pharma, Wipro and Tata Steel are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are Dr Reddy's Labs, Tata Motors, Hero, L&T and ONGC.

The Sensex increased 109.45 points at 27683.11 and the Nifty rose 30.05 points to 8358.60. The BSE Midcap file propelled 0.4 percent and Smallcap climbed 0.6 percent. The stock market broadness stayed positive as around 1303 shares have progressed against 491 shares declined on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
