Educating the Net Generation - a free ebook - 0 views

  •
The Net Generation has grown up with information technology. The aptitudes, attitudes, expectations, and learning styles of Net Gen students reflect the environment in which they were raised-one that is decidedly different from that which existed when faculty and administrators were growing up. This collection explores the Net Gen and the implications for institutions in areas such as teaching, service, learning space design, faculty development, and curriculum. Contributions by educators and students are included. Professional printing options are available.

    Hi everybody,

This group is the bookmaking group for our South African Infolinkers e-mail distribution group. The e-mail group is a moderated group (to keep e-mail spam out) but Joy is always on the ball, and can be found here: http://lists.school.za/mailman/listinfo/infolink

The main idea of THIS group is to harvest all the great links and resources shared via the e-mail list AND to make it easier for us to tag resources on the fly.

So please feel free to join and share links to all things "Library" All you have to do is to install the quick bookmarklet and just click on it when you identify a fantastic resource for librarians. You can also add a little description to put it into context for us and you can even create a list of resources for yourself of your favourite resources. We cna even have little discussions about each resource right here.

    SO get stuck in!

The Ideal School Library - 0 views

  •
In my opinion, the ideal school library is highly liberating and able to provide a learning environment that's not generally feasible, practical, or even possible in most traditional classrooms. While there always seem to be exceptions to every rule, I think that our libraries should be comfortable, collaborative, open, social, connective, modern, clean, up-to-the-minute, and with shooshing not generally required.
