Crude oil futures fell in Asian trading on Monday after the International Energy Agency cut its forecast for global crude demand.

Crude oil futures dropped on Friday, amid speculation U.S. economic growth won't be enough to boost demand amid increasing stockpiles, as investors eyed the release of preliminary U.S. gross domestic product data later in the day.

At the NCDEX, castor seed futures for October 2012 contract closed at Rs. 3,762 per quintal tonnes, down by 1.57 per cent, after opening at Rs. 3,800 against the previous closing price of Rs. 3,822. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 3,761.

Crude oil futures fell in Asian trading on Monday after the International Energy Agency cut its forecast for global crude demand.

Natural gas futures ended Friday's session largely unchanged near the highest level since December 2011, as market players continued to monitor weather forecasts to gauge the strength of early-Autumn heating demand.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, natural gas futures for delivery in November traded at USD3.386 per million British thermal units during European action, plunging 1.38%.

At the NCDEX, jeera futures for September 2012 contract closed at Rs. 13,900 per quintal, down by 2.56 per cent, after opening at Rs. 14,280 against the previous closing price of Rs. 14,265. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 13,695.

At the NCDEX, coriander futures for September 2012 contract closed at Rs. 4,000 per quintal, down by 3.31 per cent, after opening at Rs. 4,097 against the previous closing price of Rs. 4,137. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 3,972.
