    It's not totally science related but this particular doctor was using IVF as a way to earn money and illegally skirt around the infertility treatment laws in Britain. Talk about ethics in medicine!

    I think that this article is pretty good. Could you imagine picking what your child was going to look like or act like! I think it's crazy.

    I could imagine it could be insane but even crazier if you could choose for your child to be talented in certain things like running or make them tall to be talented at sports like basketball.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gattaca This film was mentioned at one point during class, and I saw it back in high school; it pretty much shows how DNA and choosing your child's genes would influence human lifestyle. Good film and I recommend for anyone else doing this topic. Also notice the title.

    In my philosophy class we had a discussion on choosing your children's traits and talents. There were two articles by two authors who were on complete ends of the spectrum. One was all for it and couldn't see any bad in it. According to him it could be the way of the future! Scary.
