This article discusses a claim made by Sadc's Director for Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources saying that land reform in Zimbabwe has created a surplus of cereals. The writer states that while agriculture has slightly improved, there is not a surplus since the country still imports tons of cereals. Also, the author refutes the Sadc director's statement that other African countries should pursue land reform because reform in Zimbabwe damaged the economy and only sought to increase voter support. This relates to Part E since it details some of the failures of land reform.

In a speech, Mugabe said that all whites in Zimbabwe should go back to England and that all those who oppose his policies on land reform should just leave. It also mentions other times where he has insulted the US and Britain, saying that these countries want Zimbabwe's leader to be weak so that they can once again take over the country. This relates to the packet because It mentions Robert Mugabe's views on land reform and his hatred for the whites in and outside of his country.

This article discusses piracy in Somalia. It states that the reason that piracy became a large threat in the first place was the chaos that remains in the failed state. While piracy has been declining lately, some believe that the pirates are only waiting until ships stop arming themselves before they attack again. This relates to Part D since it discusses the illicit activities that continue to go on due to the anarchy in Somalia.

This article describes a woman who was gang-raped and burned in her house is now testifying in court against Lieutenant Colonol Bedi Mobuli Engangel. She also claims that she witnessed the colonel give he rape order. This relates as extreme levels of rape used as a weapon against the people, has been taking place in the DRC and from men in the army on civilians and have been getting away with it, up until recently.

This article/ video describe how this man, Marc-Antoine Vumilia, was sent to jail/ death for being convicted in plotting the assassination of President Kabila but later escaped. This relates because in the previous articles it describes how he ruled and basically brought more violence to the DRC rather than ending the violence and stabilize the government, which led to his assassination.

It is believed that the terrorist group Al Shabab's ,located in Somalia, chief, Ahmed Abdi Godane, was killed in an US airstrike even though there is no body.

Barack is going to nominate an ambassador of Somalia, the first time in 20 years. The goal is to increase security in Somalia which would contribute to the country's political and economic development.

A suicide bomber attacked the Somali presidential palace triggering a massive explosion and then about 10 gunman jumped out and opened fire. This attack was part of a series of suicide bomber missions by the terrorist group, Al Shabab, the president of Somalia is alive and safe.

However, in Harare, platinum is confirmed to be in Zimbabwe's reserves and it will not be soon until mining will commence for this platinum.

This articles describes recent events of Somali's Islamist group al-Shabab leader, Ahmed Abdi Godane, was killed following a US air strike attack earlier this week, the Pentagon has said. This relates to the previous articles because it talks about how, "The al-Shabab leader had publicly claimed the group's responsibility for the deadly Westgate shopping centre attack in September last year, he said."; in addition, this article also talks about the many suicide bombings that had taken place, which they now take responsibility for.

This relates to the article "Somlia Militants Mixing Business and Terror", as they talked about large scale attacks on civilians and even stated this incident/massacre directly.

This relates to the audio story because it describes why Somaliland independence and recognition has failed.

This article describes the death of the leader of Al-Shabab. President Barrack Obama announced the death of Ahmed Abdi Godane was caused by a U.S. airstrike that hit the car he was riding in. This relates to the reading in this activity because Al-Shabab was mentioned multiple times in the reading and the death of it's leader will take a tremendous blow on the terrorist group.

This article talks about a recent al-Shabab attack on a Somali government official. The official's driver and bodyguard died in this attack. The story relates to our assignment about the al-Shabab and how they use violence to be terrorists in Somalia.

This article is very similar to the one we read. It describes how the al-Shabab receives money from taxes, sponsors, poaching, and discreet money transfer in a system called Hawala. It also gives updates on what has changed in the past year and how that affects their income, such as the recent death of Ahmed Godane, their leader. This relates because it similarly describes the financial practices of the Somali terrorists.

Somalia Ambassador Mohammed Abdi Affey has dismissed claims that Kenya is keen on creating Jubbaland in Somalia as a buffer state against the AL-Shabaab militants. Instead, it is the people of Jubbaland that want to create a state. Creating this state would require massive investment. This article relates to or studies because it discusses the terror in Somalia right now with the al-Shabaab militants.
