Praktischer Umweltschutz Schweiz Pusch | Fotowettbewerb für Schulklassen - 0 views

  •
Rund 8 Millionen Handys liegen unbenutzt in Schweizer Haushalten. Februar 2011.

Interactive Radio: Exploring Visitors Stories using a Radio Interface: - 1 views

Interactive Radio: Exploring Visitors Stories using a Radio Interface: << ROOM OF OPINION>> Retracing the past: exploring objects, stories, mysteries (June 2003) was an exhibition held in the Hunt Museum The Hunt Museum and the Interaction Design Centre of The University of Limerick, in Ireland, jointly developed this exhibition. At that exhibition there was a Room of pinion where visitiors coul leave a message about the nature and possible use of some mysterious objects. Comments were collected, and visitors could listen to them in rel time through a radio in the Sudy room. The sound of earlier opinions also generated a sort of murmur that was heard in the same room. Comments were made using an interactive telephone. A visual analogue of the prcess of storing the comments could be seen in a dynamic graühic display representing a visual trace of these opinions. Visitors could see and listen to their own comments recorded. (hier zitiert nach Salgado, ., Breaking Apart Participation in Museums, S. 3f)

"My 2-year-old daughter surprised me recently with two words: "Daddy's book." She was holding my Kindle electronic reader." Dazu auf ReadWrite: "Virtual worlds like ToonTown and Club Penguin are particularly popular with kids right now. In a recent New York Times article, University of California cultural anthropologist Mizuko Ito claimed that "children who play these games would see less of a distinction between their online friends and real friends." He also said that these types of online virtual worlds make kids "more likely to participate actively in their own entertainment" - in comparison to us oldies who grew up watching TV from the couch." Web 2.0 Storytelling: Emergence of a New Genre (EDUCAUSE Review) | EDUCAUSE - 0 views

  •
A story has a beginning, a middle, and a cleanly wrapped-up ending. Whether told around a campfire, read from a book, or played on a DVD, a story goes from point A to B and then C. It follows a trajectory, a Freytag Pyramid-perhaps the line of a human life or the stages of the hero's journey. A story is told by one person or by a creative team to an audience that is usually quiet, even receptive. Or at least that's what a story used to be, and that's how a story used to be told. Today, with digital networks and social media, this pattern is changing. Stories now are open-ended, branching, hyperlinked, cross-media, participatory, exploratory, and unpredictable. And they are told in new ways: Web 2.0 storytelling picks up these new types of stories and runs with them, accelerating the pace of creation and participation while revealing new directions for narratives to flow.

Social Technographics: Conversationalists get onto the ladder - 1 views

  •
Two and a half years ago, Charlene Li and I introduced Social Technographics, a way to analyze your market's social technology behavior. Social Technographics was carefully constructed, not as a segmentation, but as a profile (that is, the groups overlap). That's because the actual data told me that people participate in multiple behaviors, and not everyone at a higher level on the ladder actually does everything in the lower rungs.

Hinweis aus der Forumsksdiskussion Museum 3.0: http://museum30.ning.com/forum/topics/projects-linking-source I'm working on several projects linking the historic collections at the Pitt Rivers Museum with Indigenous source communities in Canada. Ironically,, I'm finding that the Indigenous groups are way more savvy about social media than this academic...So, we are posting images of objects on Flickr for people to think about before they come to Oxford to see them, have started a Facebook (invited) group for participants, and are thinking about other ways to use new media to create new relationships between museums and overseas source communities.
