How to Evaluate Online Success? A New Piece of Action Research | conference.archimuse.com - 1 views

  •
"How to measure and define the success of cultural websites and online services is a problem common to all parts of the cultural sector - museums, archives, galleries, arts organizations, libraries and publishers. Worse, funding agencies and government departments lack the expertise to offer guidelines or set standards. The result is a confusing mixture of statistics and reporting that reveals little about genuine user satisfaction."

What's the point of a museum website? - 1 views

  •
"One of the best things that came out of this year's Museums and the Web conference in Philly was an "unconference" session I organized around re-thinking and re-imagining what museum websites could/should be. It was a great conversation, with lots of interesting viewpoints. I hope to do a longer post about this in the next few days, but for now, here's the video of a talk I gave at Ignite Smithsonian a few days ago that tries to get at the root of the problem I'm trying to identify."

VAST2012: The 12th International Symposium on Virtual Reality, Archaeology and Cultural... - 0 views

  •
Digital technology has the potential to influence every aspect of the cultural heritage environment. Archaeologists and cultural heritage scientists as well as Information and Communication Technology (ICT) experts have in the past collaborated to find solutions to optimise all aspects of capturing, managing, analysing and delivering cultural information, but many unsolved problems remain. The goal of VAST 2012 will be to build on the open dialogue between these different areas of expertise, and in particular allow ICT experts to have a better understanding of the critical requirements that cultural heritage professionals have for managing and delivering cultural information and for the ICT systems that support these activities.

Axel Kopp: Erfolgreich ins Social Web starten. - 3 views

  •
