Young Adults & Teens - Bookish - 0 views

A student shared this resource with me. This is what she told me, " The thing that attracted me to it was their feature that allows you to type in a book title and it gives you recommendations based on that book. Plus, if you really want to narrow down your search you can add up to four books for more personalized results. I thought over the website was awesome, so I thought I just had to share it with you.." I think it looks like fun. This link is for the section on young adults and teens.

These are good lists based on what teens recommend. You may find that you already have many of them in your library before they come out on this list, but there may be a few here that are new to you and deserve consideration. The list is also a great source of titles to use in booktalks.

Joyce Valenza Announcing: Animoto for Education April 2, 2008 Animoto, the tool that allows you to produce MTV-style videos in no time flat, recently added the ability to download videos as MP4s or Quicktime movies, to export video directly to YouTube, and most importantly, it just added an educators edition which includes many of the formerly premium features.

Fair use and transformativeness: It may shake your world - NeverEndingSearch - Blog on ... - 0 views

  • I am no longer sure that anything I learned, or anything I regularly share relating to fair use, is either helpful or relevant.  As a gatekeeper, I've been far too conservative.

Found this when I was looking for a "best practices wiki" for HS libraries. Is there such a thing, or should we build one?
