Screencasting Checklist: How to Record Like A Pro - 2 views

  •
Nobody buys lemons anymore. To have thousands of students enrolled in your course, it has to be REALLY good - that means easy to listen to, easy to follow, and easy enough to watch for hours. And how do you do that for technical training? Quality screencasting is the currency of the realm for pretty much every technology training, so you'd better be sure you're creating the best recordings possible.

How To Properly Integrate Education Technology - Edudemic - Edudemic - 1 views

"Why do schools roll out new programs or courses in small "pilot" groups? I would point at two reasons: the decision makers either (a) want to test the programs out first before deciding if the program is viable, sustainable, and worthwhile, or (b) they need key people to lead the way in the first year which will make full-scale adoption over time quicker and longer-lasting."

Embedding High Quality Youtube Videos - 0 views

  •
Many of us share and embed Youtube videos in millions everyday and we all know what a 'viral effect' is. And we also remember the Bush Shoe Throwing episode and how the first video reached 5 million views in just 5 hours! Thousands embedded that video on their blogs and websites. That is just one such example. There are so many of us who don't even know that Youtube has two versions of the same video stored: High quality (Its not HD but still a lot better) and the usual Normal/Low quality. The default embed script is for embedding Normal/Low quality videos whereas there is no option to automatically generate High Quality code. Here is how you can do it manually: All you have to do is insert this code at the end of the url: &fmt=18 for 480X360 version &fmt=22 for 720p version Example: (Default embed code) High Quality Embed code: Now compare these two: High Quality Low Quality
