This article talks about how advertisers such as Dominoes and Italian Americans groups are boycotting against the TV show "Jersey Shore". Dominoes has stopped advertising for "Jersey Shore" and is influencing other advertisers to follow. The largest Italian American group is the US ,Unico's, president Andre Demint and is telling all members to boycott by refusing to watch this show.

In this article MTV openly defends its new hit reality show Jersey Shore, against an Italian American Group that believes the show is "offensive and bordering on racist." Unico a group that promotes and enhances the image of Italian Americans and feels that this reality show is completely contradicting everything they stand for. The show follows eight self proclaimed Guido and guidettes, which is a contradictory term used in the Italian-American society.

This article is a response by many lawmakers around the world to the show "Jersey Shore." They felt that the show is degrading to Italian Americans nationwide, and uses the world "guido" way too much. In response, the MTV team said that the show is not intended to depict Italians stereotypically.

In this article they are not talking a lot about the plot and setting about Jersey Shore. Rather, they are talking about the word guido and the stereotype this show is making. This article is saying that the word guido is a word that is very offensive to all Italian Americans. They say the word guido is a very offensive word for Italian Americans and they are shocked by how MTV is using it like it means nothing on network television. The article definitely has a point because the word guido is a very demeaning word for Italian Americans. The article talks about how the word guido is not the term you could usually call someone and pretend it's not a big deal. They say that because of the show Jersey Shore, it is a much more common word and it is making the population of young Italian Americans look bad.

The crime shows such as CSI have now influenced many courtroom as many people who watch these type of shows would expect more scientific evidence on a case which might be only found on a TV show. Without the use of high tech ways to retrieve evidence, Courtrooms are afraid that jurors might be more tempted to let the person being held on trial to go as they might see it as a lack of evidence or as unconvincing as say one from a CSI.

What's surprising, however, is not just the alarming number of students who say they cheat, but also the number of students who think it's OK to do so.

Obesity as many of us know, is a growing problem in the United States. It is extremely prevalent among the younger generation, as kids are more susceptible to advertisements on television and on the Internet. As this article states, children have a great influence over the food their parents buy. To put it bluntly, children can be annoying. They can scream and yell, essentially embarrassing you into buying them whatever they want. Years ago, discipline amongst parents was much stricter and a child who mouthed off would be subject to corporal punishment. However, society has greatly evolved, and in many families, the power balance among children and adults has shifted. Fast food advertisers are aware of this and take full advantage by placing commercials during popular television networks like Disney channel and Nickelodeon. Also, as the Internet has become more popular amongst young adults, advertisements for sugary snacks and greasy fried food have also increased. Obesity will continue to be a big issue in the United States but we can no longer only place the blame on the lack of options in supermarkets or parents themselves but rather advertisements in media that are negatively influencing children causing them to make bad decisions.
