    A follow up study was conducted for a period of one year on nearly 10,000 women in a Pittsburg obstetrical hospital. It showed that nearly 1 out of 7 women faced postpartum blues after their delivery. They had been judged on the basis of a brief telephonic interview conducted about four to six weeks after the delivery of their babies.
