  •
Europe Blow Fill Seal Technology market is anticipated to grow appreciably at rate in the forecasted period. This is attributed to the rising demand for personalized medicine, increasing focus towards consumer protection, and growing adoption of Blow Fill Seal Technology (BFS) technology in the pharmaceutical industry. Blow Fill Seal (BFS) technology is a manufacturing process used in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries to produce small, sterile, and sealed containers for liquid or semi-solid products. It is a highly automated and efficient process that integrates container formation, filling, and sealing into a single continuous operation. Blow Fill Seal (BFS) technology is commonly used for the production of unit-dose containers for ophthalmic solutions, respiratory drugs, sterile injectables, nasal sprays, and other liquid or semi-solid pharmaceutical products.

Patient Safety in Medical Education - 0 views

  •
Patient Safety in Medical Education A very important aspect of medical education that had been overlooked for a long time is patient safety. When patient safety in medical education gets relegated to the backseat; the result is there for everyone to see: something like close to a 100,000 deaths at the turn of the previous century, according to the alarming results of a comprehensive study carried out by the Institute of Medicine. The tragedy of these deaths is that these were preventable. This reinforces the belief that patient safety in medical education is the core factor, which if handled properly, can save thousands of lives. How does patient safety in medical education come about? It goes without saying that physicians and other caregivers practice in their professions what they learn in schools. So, patient safety in medical education has to be incorporated into the curriculum at the earliest stages. Hospitals, medical colleges and other institutes that impart medical education have now started taking more than mere baby steps in inculcating patient safety in medical education as a core part of teaching, the already heavily burdened curriculum in medical education notwithstanding. Efforts by medical education bodies Following the publication of the IOM report, the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC) and the Curriculum Management and Information Tool (CurrMit) in the US and Medical Schools Council and the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK sprang into action, announcing a slew of measures aimed at bringing about and reinforcing patient safety in medical education. Entire lessons and chapters are devoted to patient safety in medical education. Keywords and technical jargon relating to patient safety are now a highly visible aspect of patient safety in medical education. These are spread across all disciples and subjects of medical education, be it gynecology or anesthetics. What should curricula teach about patient safety in medical edu

High Prevalence of Cancer to Boost Demand for Contrast Media/Contrast Agent - 0 views

  •
A contrast agent (also called a contrast medium) is an electrically charged material used in medical imaging to enhance the contrast of medical vessels or other tissues in the body. Contrast media/contrast agent either absorbs or changes ultrasound or electromagnetism, which is fundamentally different from radiopharms, which themselves emit electromagnetic radiation. This difference enables contrast agents to be applied to various body tissues with much higher strengths than their non-comp contrast counterparts. The most common contrast media/contrast agent used in medical imaging are CT contrast agents and MRI contrast agents. However, due to their non-magnetic nature, these medical imaging products are not able to be used on organ tissues, such as kidneys, hearts and lungs. Some manufacturers have now started manufacturing non-magnetic, biologically engineered CT and MRI contrast agents called mri-notherapy (mammography, radiofrequency ablation, and ultrasound contrast agents). High prevalence of cancer is expected to boost demand for contrast media. In the U.S., non-magnetic, biologically engineered CT and MRI contrast agents are now being used more frequently to treat patients with benign tumors of all types. Mri-notherapy is used for benign cancers of the breast (breast cancer), abdomen (belly fat), neck, head, joint (arthritis) and spine. Patients with melanoma, anemia, inoperable basilar artery disease, and multiple myeloma are also often treated with mri-notherapy. The therapy has a high success rate for benign tumors and very low incidence of mortality, espeacially in patients undergoing surgery. Moreover, recently, in November 2020, the U.S. FDA approved GE Healthcare's macrocyclic gadolinium-based MRI contrast agent, Clariscan (gadoterate meglumine), in pre-filled syringes. Contract manufacturing is a complex process involved in producing vaccine products. This type of production usually involves the manufacturing of vaccines in a single step. Contract manufacturers usually produce vaccines at their facilities; however, some contract manufacturers also service the field through the provision of workspace and by taking care of the closing storage and final disposition of finished products. Some contract manufacturers specialize in the manufacture of one or few vaccines. Others manufacture vaccines for a number of diseases. Technological developments in biomanufacturing and biotechnology are expected to drive growth of the global vaccine contract manufacturing market. Biotechnology has witnessed significant growth in the recent past in both developed and emerging economies. According to the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), the Indian biotechnology industry was valued at US$ 63 billion in 2019 and is expected to reach US$ 102 billion by 2025, registering a CAGR of 10.9%.
