A comparative newer type of sauna has evolved. Traditional saunas use wood or electric ovens to produce heat while the newer sauna includes the use of electric heaters. Infrared saunas are not only more affordable than a traditional sauna but are also more efficient and less cumbersome. Instead of rejuvenating the body by using steam, infrared saunas use waves that are shorter than radio waves and longer than the waves produced by visible light.
