I stumbled upon this list of Nobel Prize winners and thought is was neat to see who has won each year! It has been awarded 102 times to 106 Nobel Laureates between 1901 to 2009. Take a look!!

This site has some pretty decent comments and criticisms of Spofford and Circumstance. The writers relate some of the things from the story to Spofford's life and events from her life in order to help the readers realize where she is coming from, and why she uses certain techniques, imagery, etc.

On this site I found a place to e-mail Lee Smith. I did and asked her how she came up with the Bubba Stories. I got a reply and she said that when her husband was growing up he made up a fake sister and had to kill her off in his stories. so that is where she got the idea for Bubba Stories. I thought it was pretty cool :)

This website definitely helped me find a little bit of criticism about Robert Frost. Each site that I looked at discussed the same things : Frost wrote poems that were generally easy to understand, and definitely enjoyed.

As I began doing research, I found this biography on Hemingway. While this is not my section of research, I thought it may be helpful for others doing biographical to compare different websites.

I found this article through our library database. Under "subject" I clicked on "Literature Resource Center," typed in "Hemingway" in the search bar, and found this article under "Hemingway's Hills Like White Elephants." This explains Hemingway's techniques as a writer and what he wants his audience to understand through the story.

As stated, finding anything that had to do with the Audience & their reception of this work was extremely difficult but this cite may help, in a round about way, come to a conclusion of what the audience thought of Heminway's work.
