Here comes the good news for the fans of Hollywood actress Halle Berry as buzz states that this former supermodel is making comeback on small-screen with Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi drama series Extant. Last she was associated with television was in 1991, when she was part of American soap opera Knots Landing. CBS is going to telecast the project, which is going to be produced by Spielberg`s Amblin Television and is 13 episodes long.For those unaware, Berry would be seen in the role of an astronaut, who was returned for a year long voyage in outer space on her own. "I`m always on the lookout for amazing roles, and when you see material that contains this strong of auspices, nuance and complexity, it compels me to run toward it no matter the medium," Berry said in a statement."For five months a year I`ll get to live with and play this incredibly intelligent and vulnerable woman, and for the remainder of the year I`ll continue to look for other roles that move me as deeply as this one," she added.You can catch the series in the summer of 2014.

If the ongoing buzz in Hollywood is to be believed, singer-designer Jessica Simpson, who is expecting her second child whose delivery is due in summer, has plans to take the plunge with fiancé Eric Johnson just one month after the baby’s birth.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s much awaited concert Shah Rukh Khan & Friends: Temptation Reloaded Live in Malaysia 2013 has been re-scheduled. It was slated for 11 October, 2013, but now due to some logistic and security issues following US President Barrack Obama’s visit on the 10th and 11th October in Malaysia, it has been postponed till next year. Further, the visit of Obama has also get cancelled.  Concert organizing spokesperson, O. Kumaraguru, said, “We have postponed and the decision will not be pulled back.” Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak also announced that Obama has postponed his visit due to the temporary US government shutdown. Kumaraguru explained, “If Obama had announced his delay earlier, perhaps the concert could have taken place on the fixed date. The Shah Rukh Khan & Friends concert is now scheduled to take place before April 2014 and the exact date is expected to be announced by the end of this month.”According to the statement, this (postponement) was due to security reasons, which was brought up following the date of the president’s visit to Malaysia being close to the date of the concert. The statement explains that Obama’s visit also raised logistic issues, which may affect the concert.Concert organizers further expressed their regret over the postponement and stated that who had purchased the ticket can get their refund.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been involved in various charities during his career. He has started NGO called Being Human and says after achieving so much in his career it is time to give back through charities. He says he is certainly doing his bit.Salman’s Being Human Foundation sells clothes, merchandises online and in stores in Mumbai, Ludhiana and Ahmedabad. A huge percentage of the money that Salman earns through his films is donated to the foundation.The Dabangg star is now planning to open restaurants and hospitals in the next five to six months under the same initiative. He said, “It is not my business to get into restaurants, clothing etc. As an actor, you only have the habit of getting things most of the times. But there is always time to give back to the society and I am doing my bit.”The 47-year-old actor also added that a certain amount from Being Human also takes care of industry people like workers and technicians. “Friends from the film industry do help whenever they can. But I am not good at asking money. You ask and keep asking for money and those people run away from you, and you lose friends. If you like any of things that are available at our stores come and pick it up. A percentage from this goes back into the charity, so you are doing charity.” he explained.Salman, who endorse Suzuki Motorcycle in India, also joins his foundation Being Human to promote their new vehicle Suzuki Access. The new association is an extension of the already existing ties with Salman and Suzuki as the actor endorses the Japanese brand.

At the moment B-town actor Sanjay Dutt is enjoying his time with family as he is on furlough for 14 days from Yerwada Central Prison. However, it is learnt that due to health reasons he is seeking an extension of 14 more days.He has already written an application and the decision would be out today and it will be taken by the Mumbai police, a senior officer from the prison department said. For those unaware, Dutt is facing 42-month sentence under the Arms Act in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.However, he came out of prison on furlough by the state prisons department on October 1. Now his leave period ends on October 15, and he is expected to surrender on October 16 as furlough excludes the period of travel.Meanwhile, not only Dutt, but every prisoner has the right to seek extension of leave for two weeks, however, one must mention ailment reason in the application, as only then will it be considered a police report is sought afresh. Also going by the manual, only one extension can be granted. Sources from Yerwada jail said that they have received the actor’s application. "Dutt has also attached medical certificates with the application. We have asked for a report from police. We expect it by Monday. But unlike Sonarika, who was shown the door citing some payment issues, the actress herself has decided to quit the show.According to the close sources of the actress it is get to know that Puja couldn’t manage to overcome from her health issues and dedicate her time to the show. “Puja has been complaining about health issues for some time. The schedule is physically exhausting for her. She conveyed the problem to the production house and they released her. Her notice period ends in January, next year. Hence the role, which was Bipasha offered in Action Jackson, which stars Ajay Devgn as male lead, will be played by supermodel Manasvi Mamgai.Even Humshakals stars three leading ladies. While Bips is paired opposite Riteish, the other two Tamannaah Bhatia and Esha Gupta, are opposite Saif Ali Khan.
