"This animation deals with the topics of biodiversity and climate change. It lays out the main effects of climate change, i.e. the strengthening of the natural greenhouse effect phenomenon that has been caused by our way of life, and the unprecedented speeding up of rises in temperature compared with the natural periods of warming that have occurred in the past. It also looks at the main consequences of these changes."
This article discusses how climate can fluctuate without any actions by humans and addresses how we can tell if changes in climate are significant enough to be attributed to human action.
Much of the science OGT is analyzing and interpreting graphs, charts, and tables. This website has many useful graphs that student's could analyze and discuss possible causes for.
I love this map because it not only shows the affect of global climate change worldwide, but locally as well. If students are shown possible consequences in their own neck of the woods they may get drawn into the project with more enthusiasm.
A map that illustrates the local consequences of global warming. The map also shows possible future impacts on ecosystems if the global warming trends continue.
