Many students are familiar with Ken Burns' groundbreaking documentaries. While many students dread writing biographies, asking them to transform their writing into a compelling digital documentary about a person's life helps motivate them to write.

This is a free site that allows teachers to look up and locate plans with full resources that are ready to go. It is easy navigate and offers a lot of resources.

Biographies of individuals whose accomplishments have shaped the 20th century. Discover a role model for nearly every career imaginable! There are images, written biographies and in many cases video interviews. The site is broken into categories: arts, business, sports, public service and science and exploration.

This site not only offers a vast amount of pre-created WebQuests, but it also allows you to create your own in a pre-designed format that is easy to use.

Students walk through the webquest and watch videos on different biomes. Students need to identify the organisms that would be at each level (producers, primary consumers, secondary consumers, tertiary consumers, decomposers). Students will need to create an expository essay about ONE biome and describe the relationships between the organisms within that biome. Students also need to create 2 organism chains from 2 biomes using FRAMES. There are rubrics to go with this project, too.
