The United States Digital Map Library is a USGenWeb Archives project, developed in April of 1999 under the coordination of Fred Smoot. The current Coordinator is Pat Blankenship. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or comments. The goal of this project is to make available to genealogists, useful, readable, high quality maps.

This site is a conspectus of digital collections concerning Southern cultures and histories, created as part of the MetaScholar Initiative at Emory University and the DLF Aquifer project.

NWDA provides access to descriptions of primary sources in the Northwestern United States, including correspondence, diaries, or photographs. Digital reproductions of primary sources are available in some cases.

The Mountain West Digital Library is an aggregation of digital collections from universities, colleges, public libraries, museums, and historical societies in Utah, Nevada, and Idaho.

a digital library of primary sources in American social history from the antebellum period through reconstruction. The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of education, psychology, American history, sociology, religion, and science and technology.

AmericanSouth.Org is an o­n-going project undertaken at Emory University in collaboration with a large number of Southern research libraries that seeks to improve access to digital resources. Put simply, AmericanSouth harvests metadata, or information about information, from an amalgam of library and museum archives, pulling this metadata into a central location for aggregation, indexing, search, and discovery. The resulting digital library collection enables a researcher to conduct a combined search of the materials held by many different institutions.

These electronic collections are largely composed of digital versions of paper documents from the Combined Arms Research Library collections.  The collections of digitized materials are uploaded in the ContentDm® Digital Collection Management System which allows for greater search and retrieval of the individual documents.  For example, you can find CGSC mmas theses and SAMS monographs here from 1998-2006.
