The Yoruba are known for their contributions to the arts. Life-size bronze heads and terracottas, sculpted in a classical
style between A.D. 1000 and 1400 and found at the ancient city of Ife, have been widely exhibited. Other art forms are poetry,
myth, dance, music, body decoration, weaving, dyeing, embroidery, pottery, calabash carving, leather- and beadworking, jewelry
making, and metalworking.
