This is a GameStorming crowd. I thought we can collaborate with them, for instance with Harry's MA project. We spoke about the fact that MA is under explored as a work facilitation methodology. We can start exploring it at Matera Dojo A DARE event is a new kind of event. An event that is all about empowering people to dare and take steps in order to enjoy better work.

Arabic Game Jam 2014 » This is Arabic Game Jam - 0 views

Would like to stream from the event, or get some participants on one of the podcasts. Met many participants at the GGJ Malmo. Most of them are unofficial organisers, as the project manager from Media Evolution has no clue about games or gamejams. Though the best way to collaborate with them is to contact the woman who is an official project manager. Kids I met are organising it, but don't make any decisions. The are same people organising GGJ in Malmo. Most of them IxD students.

"Richard Larcombe, Director of Advertising and Sponsorship at Virgin Media, said the company is "excited" to be able to provide a space where anyone can come and play games all day long, but also where visitors can learn or be inspired by experienced developers from across the industry. "The digital world is creating incredible job opportunities as well as entertainment for people and the rise of the British gaming industry is something to be proud of," he commented. "This is going to be a unique place for people to use who've got the same passion for gaming we have. Whether it's to debate, develop, or push the boundaries of new technologies, Virgin Media Games Space will provide something for everyone no matter their gaming abilities." David Hayward, Curator and Event Producer at the centre, said it is "immensely exciting" that London is getting its first game space this month. "Games are such a diverse thing now, and I think the Virgin Media Games Space will be an excellent way of supporting that," he commented."

In Search of Utopia 1516 | Illuminare - 0 views

IN SEARCH OF UTOPIA 1516 Leuven, M - Museum Leuven, 20 October 2016 - 17 January 2017 2016 will witness the 500th anniversary of the first publication of Thomas More's Utopia in Leuven. More, humanist, statesman, and ambassador of Henry VIII of England, had his book published at the renowned printing house established by Dirk Martens in the university town - Erasmus acted as go-between. Utopia is, without doubt, the most influential new book ever published not merely in Leuven but in the whole of the Low Countries. More coined the word 'Utopia' himself. Derived from the ancient Greek it means 'not-place' or 'Nowhereland'. To mark the quincentenary of this milestone in Europe's intellectual and cultural history the City of Leuven and University of Leuven are mounting a major exhibition: In Search of Utopia. It takes as its starting point a concrete fact in Leuven's history - the printing, in 1516, of the first edition of Utopia. But the exhibition ranges far beyond that to explore the European fascination with the universe, with the globe, its parts and its inhabitants, and to delve into man's dream of an ideal world.
