On the other hand, the e-mobility industry is in its infancy. While it's true that sales of electric vehicles have seen an exponential increase during the last five years, the industry still has a long way to run. Some of the barriers afflicting the adoption of electric vehicles are critical in nature. The batteries used by the industry need much greater advancement before customers can drive long distances on a single charge. The lack of charging infrastructure in most countries has been a bugbear. Even the time taken to charge the battery completely leaves much to be desired. While it's being hailed as the ideal solution for future transportation, there is a lack of faith amongst users, coupled with a lack of understanding and awareness about the new technology. E-vehicles are also likely to suffer from a dull secondary market, owing to the obsolescence of technology.
