Put your city on the 3D map Engage the public by featuring your city's buildings, landmarks and terrain on Google Earth. If your local government is like many around the world, you've invested in developing a 3D model representing buildings in your city's downtown--perhaps your entire jurisdiction. Or, maybe you haven't yet produced a 3D model, but you've collected the geospatial data necessary for producing a model. With Google's Cities in 3D Program, your local government can share this 3D data with the public by adding a model of your city to Google Earth. More than 350 million Internet users have turned to Google Earth to better understand and navigate their world.

this is the site of Mitchell Joachim, PHd at MiT ... netx has very good intuitions and plays far with formal designs...Terreform ONE [Open Network Ecology] is a nonprofit organization and philanthropic design collaborative that integrates ecological principles in the urban environment. The group views ecology in design as not only a philosophy that inspires visions of sustainability and social justice but also a focused scientific endeavor. The mission is to ascertain the consequences of fitting a project within our natural world setting. Solutions range from; green master planning, urban self-sufficiency infrastructures, community development activities, climatic tall buildings, performative material technologies, and smart mobility vehicles for cities. These design iterations seek an activated ecology both as a progressive symbol and an evolved artifact. Terreform is a winner of the Infiniti Design Excellence Award - History Channel City of the Future competition.

Cybertecture integrates technology, multimedia, intelligent systems and user interactivity to create customizable living and working spaces that focus on experience. The Cybertecture Egg takes this principle working theme a step further with ‘cybertecture health’ - interactive features that monitor occupant’s vital health statistics, like blood pressure and weight. In keeping with the focus on health and wellness, users can customize their views with real time virtual scenery. The oblong office building incorporates passive solar design to decrease heat gain and lower energy loads. An elevated garden also moderates temperate by using natural vegetation to assist with cooling the building envelope. The Cybertecture Egg will use solar photovoltaic panels and rooftop wind turbines to generate onsite electricity. Water conservation will be managed with a greywater recycling system that will harvest water for irrigation and landscaping. It is also said that we can see this futuristic “Cybertecture Egg” building by the end of 2010. So, let’s wait and see…
