In Romans 12:10-13:9 in the pre-Jesus (Yeshua) New Covenant, Jesus' Apostle (Sent-Out-One), Paul, makes clear there are no "Just Wars" as far as Jesus Followers are to be concerned. Jesus Followers are called by our Lord and Saviour to wage peace ...not war. We are commanded to be non-violent radicals not passive pew-sitters. To be Gentlewo(men) Warriors not D.O.O.R.M.A.T.s (members of the "Dependent Order Of Really Miserable And Timid Souls"). Paul also includes an interesting Old Covenant Proverb in Verse 20 from Proverbs 25:21-23 the cultural context of which might fool you into thinking something it doesn't mean. "God Confirms A Christian's "Assurance of Salvation'" In 1 john 5:9-13, Holy Spirit spells out clearly that the salvation of a Jesus Follower is secure because of what our Saviour and Master did on His cross. There He paid the full penalty for our sin nature and sins by giving His sinless life as a substitute for us. God proved His acceptance of Jesus' "offering for sin" by raising Jesus from the dead. Jesus' resurrection was documented at the time by over 500 witnesses many of whom were martyred for their belief in what He did ...without recanting their faith in what they had seen with their own eyes. gfp (2012-06-21)

Romans 4:16-18 discusses God's biggest promise!

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 makes clear that someone or something prevents many, called unbelievers in the Christian New Covenant (Testament) from hearing the "Gospel" (Good News") of Jesus of Nazareth. And the Biblical Jesus is NOT the Muslim Isa of the Islamic Qur'an regardless of what some Christians or churches teach.

Jesus warns His Followers how to deal with others and to be wary in the world. We are to do so, however, in the context of Jesus' over-arching command to love others ...regardless of what they do or say. gfp (2012-02-28) 2012-02-28

"Love Your Enemies & Don't Judge Them" Luke 6:27-38 contains one of the Bible's most caring, concise, and clearest statements by Jesus of the way He demands that His Followers must deal with those who dislike or hate them. gfp (2012-05-23)

Please note and prayerfully meditate on the powerful truth that the verbs in each of 5 crucial verses in Romans 6:3,4,6,11,18 are each past tense? Please also reflect on what that means for you having a REAL life of abundance and true freedom if you follow Jesus. If you do, the "Old You" (Old Man or Old Self) is dead and buried and a "New You" (Man/Self/Creation) is all that's left because of what Jesus has already done for you. You already are a brand New Creation, not a patched up one or one with two natures ...even f you don't always act of feel like one. Plus you're dead to the power of Mr. Sin operating through your flesh (sinful habit patterns that remain as part of your human, not sinful, nature) to control your behaviour. gfp

"The Story of Jesus' True Death and Resurrection for All of Humankind" Matthew 27:50 to Matthew 28:7 in the Christian New Covenant (Testament) makes clear that Jesus, who was miraculously and supernaturally fully man of flesh and bones and yet fully a dimension of the One Almighty God, was crucified and His body but not His spirit, died on a torture instrument. In Romans 5:3-5, of the New Covenant section of the Christian Bible, Jesus' Apostle (sent-out-one), Paul tells us what produces character. And building R-E-A-L character is what God is about during the earthly portion of a Jesus Follower's eternal life.
