This looks very interesting. The potential is huge for students to develop apps for the Android platform. How can apple beat this one if they have locked down their apps store? The great thing about App inventor is that it looks like it has been modelled on Scratch 'Blocks' of building scripts. My Grade 5 and 6's (some whiz kids lower) would love to get their hands on this. The potential for them to develop their own apps for perhaps an Android tablet or smart phone is enormous. Rich and authentic possibilities for learning. Have DEECD made a wrong choice in going with the ipad?
Check this out great ipod app for story starters. Now I really wish I had those ipod touches in my classroom! This looks great. Even though we tend to avoid the "Once upon a time" story starter this app has heaps of potential
A great poster creator. Worth a look students can upload images and manipulate them to look like posters. Students can export out to blogs etc or print. Could be useful online tool for short presentations of student work.
Fun, great to view, some people have time on their hands!
These experiments were created by designers and programmers from around the world using the latest open standards, including HTML5, Canvas, SVG, and more. Their work is making the web faster, more fun, and more open - the same spirit in which we built Google Chrome.
Great post for the new doc's user and some useful tips and tools for the experienced user. Bookmark on your tool bar if you are a regular google docs user.
A great extension for Google Chrome. That allows you to take screen shots and then annotate them. This would be very useful for teachers and or students who create 'how to' instructional
Slide to Learn Conference, This blog post covers some amazing amount of apps that can be used on the ipod touch and or the iphone/ipod. Looks like it was a great conference.
Looking for that killer IWB introductory to your maths lesson. Check out Virtual Manipulatives. This blog post explains it all. (It has a great flash version of MAB)
For Grade 2 teachers and Khamal, you might want to add somethings to this. Just email Tom Barret if you want to contribute. He has many of these 'interesting ways' presentations. Great source of classroom ideas
