History Tours is a collaborative website that gives teachers access to pre-made Google Earth tours on various topics in American and World history. These tours provide an excellent backdrop for visual learning. They allow students to view people and places of historical importance while the teacher presents essential background knowledge.

VuSafe provides a place for you to find, organize, and watch videos in a secure, filtered environment. VuSafe offers a password protected environment in which you can post videos for your students to watch without exposing them to the comments, advertisements, and automatically generated related videos found on YouTube. As a teacher you can search for videos either through VuSafe or directly on YouTube. When you find the video you want, you can tag it by content and grade level and add it to your VuSafe page. Wordventure is just like the word game we all played as kids! You can pick from many story templates, then choose Nouns, Verbs, Adverbs, Adjectives, Types of Food, Mythical Animals, etc, etc, etc and then fall on the floor laughing at the hilarious story you've just created! Wordventure is fun for kids as well as adults and can be played alone or with friends! Your kids might even learn a thing or two about parts of speech while they are having fun!

The Khan Academy is an organization on a mission. We're a not-for-profit with the goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education to anyone anywhere. All of the site's resources are available to anyone. It doesn't matter if you are a student, teacher, home-schooler, principal, adult returning to the classroom after 20 years, or a friendly alien just trying to get a leg up in earthly biology. The Khan Academy's materials and resources are available to you completely free of charge.

One of my erstwhile colleagues had pointed out the importance of keeping kids safe when they are online.  Digital education is not only about learning how to program or use a software; it's also a lot about knowing the who the villain among the bits and bytes could be. As we run to catch up with the torrent of data, others are looking to grab some of our own. Spam is just a small part…there are more evil in the form of phishing and password theft.

Whether you like it or not, infographics are becoming a powerful e-learning tool. There is a whole lot of them around the web and we as teachers should build our own ones, and take them to the classroom. But in the meantime, we have to accept that social media as it is, it's changing the way we communicate.

iRead is a group of teachers in Escondido Union School District dedicated to the idea that digital audio can be a powerful learning tool for all students. iRead will give you a chance to create meaningful, curriculum-centered audio projects with your students. Teachers are using digital audio tools (iPods, mics, Garageband, iTunes, Keynote, etc. and various accessories) to improve reading processes. Teachers meet on a monthly basis to exchange ideas and strategies. We started in 2006-07 by collecting data about fluency rates - this has been very promising.

Imendi helps people to learn basic vocabulary of foreign languages. It uses simple game mechanic where you pair meanings in selected languages.
