Thanks for coming to Hairdresser On Fire! My work has been seen a little on TV, a little in magazines and a lot on my friends. I started this blog after getting a little tired of the same cut/blow dry combo I was doing all day-every day at the salon. The blog gives me more creative freedom by answering hair questions, posting beautiful photos and filming tutorials. I've worked in big and small hair salons in NYC for the last 6 years, and this is my way of spreading hair joy in a more fun way. Straight up high school sleep-over style. Tell your hair I say "Hey" and that it should get excited.

I'm an 18 year old from a small Chicago suburb, but I will be spending my next few years at school in Boston. I love vintage clothes, collect old cameras, and thrift way too much. I came to love vintage clothes at a very young age when I stumbled across some old photos of my great grandmother and aunt (Grace and Viola). Shortly after that, my mother's antique shop had a vintage fashion show, and ever since then I have been on the lookout for great vintage finds. I'm just a girl who hopes to travel the world, meet interesting people, and take in all that life has to offer. This blog is my personal space to write about my daily life, styles that I love, and everything else that falls in-between. I have always adored the exploration of art. Art in the form of language, music, pictures, paintings, fashion. I believe our bodies are a blank canvas, and the hues are the garments we wear. Now I've created a blog where I can share daily language, poetry, musings, and photographs. I created flying a kite in January 2009. Since then, I have gained so much spirit and so much love! In September 2009, I was invited to New York for a fashion blogger conference. It was the most exceptional thing I've ever been a part of.     Also, To my delight(and surprise) I've been featured in magazines, fashion blogs, and wonderful online communities. This blog has cultivated so many friendships, opportunities, and open windows  My heart sings for my supporters, my family, and my spirit. Thank you. 

This blog has become a cluster eff of all things I love: style, fashion, beauty, inspiring music, and frankly...anything else that sparks my interest and I want to share! I am passionate about animal rights and a vegetarian.  Over the past few years I've really gotten into Vintage everything and I love a good thrift store hunt and find.  I make up words a lot and add cutesy things to the end of normal words that I want to make prettier...also I am easily excitable, unendingly (too) honest and have a ridiculously short attention span. I may or may not be hyperactive. I love a lot of things... I'm a married 20 something and I live in the fine state of Minnesota, in the twin cities to be exact...Randall and I have two awesome kitties, Mr. Wallace and Stevie Beans, a parrotlet named Stella Blue,  and a rescued pomapoo Piper. By day I'm a fiscal policy analyst but on lunch breaks and at night I blog and sometimes I attempt to craft.  I love Dinosaurs, going to museums, and I am a photography addict. 

The owner, Jamie Symmonds, grew up in a small town in Western New York.  In 2001, she grew wings flying off to the city of angels, Los Angeles, where she developed a true appreciation for her sense of fashion and style.  She then decided to head back to New York, the big apple, bringing with her LA's fabulous fashions.  Angel to Apple opened in May of 2006 and has continued to grow and evolve, which includes the launching of our new website, which will offer great fashions to women of all ages, everywhere.

I am a 24-year-old part-time writing instructor and part-time technical writer. My love of writing led me to blogs, which led me to a wonderful group of women carving a space for themselves on the internet.
